The important thing is not to think too much, and so to do whatever best awakens your love.

There is always a practice before the practice; a sitting before the incomprehensible long enough to feel and sometimes understand the mystery each instrument and craft is designed to invoke.

At the very heart of belonging is spirituality—the deeply held belief that we’re inextricably connected to each other by something greater than us—rooted in love and compassion…

Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and… try to love the questions themselves…

Drop by drop is the water pot filled. Likewise, the wise one, gathering it little by little, fills oneself with good.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

The virtues we acquire by first having actually practiced them, just as we do the arts.

Only through relating with God in our lives can we reclaim our true value and allow God to dwell in our heart…

“What thou art within, that outside thee thou shalt enjoy”; no machinery can rescue you from the law of your being.

True spirituality is a mental attitude that you can practice at any time.

In all that is in this world dwell holy sparks, no thing is empty of them.

Carefully uphold the proper norms of conduct, and imitate them day and night… After a time, we become familiar with them, and then we no longer need to imitate them but can make our own standard.

The unique genius that I feel we all carry is so special and sometimes hard to discern. But the inner change allows us to find that; then, the outer change requires us to be that.

You need to cultivate good habits and develop your spiritual senses. Nothing in your surroundings is meaningless.
