In the future people will have no choice but to live very closely together, transcending their region, nationality and race. In other words, the vision of global family will become a reality.

The Vision of Global Family
Topic: Global Peace & Development
“In the 21st century, people will not be able to exercise dominion on the earth, or even exist there, while disregarding the ultimate principle of the Creator. The future of humanity will require closer relationships among people. In the future people will have no choice but to live very closely together, transcending their region, nationality and race. In other words, the vision of global family will become a reality. People will not only have to understand others who have different religions, cultures, traditions and lifestyles; they will have to accept them and interrelate with them. No individual or group will be able to selfishly maintain its own sanctuary.”
Sun Myung Moon, born on January 6, 1920, was a renowned spiritual leader hailing from North Korea. He founded the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity, better known as the Unification Church, in 1954. Drawing upon elements of Christianity, Confucianism, and anti-communist political philosophy, Moon's teachings centered on love, unity, and peace. He aimed to spark a global spiritual movement that transcended religious and cultural divisions, and his vision resonated with followers all over the world. Through the Unification Church, Moon also promoted interfaith understanding and collaboration, striving for harmony among diverse religious traditions.
Moon's teachings went beyond the realm of the spiritual to touch on the universal human themes of love and family. He emphasized the importance of nurturing strong, loving families as the cornerstone for a harmonious and peaceful world. To this end, he conducted mass wedding ceremonies known as the 'Blessing', symbolizing the unity of all people under God, regardless of their cultural or religious backgrounds. Moon also stressed the value of community service and encouraged his followers to actively contribute to their local communities.
Moon's partner in both life and work was his wife, Hak Ja Han Moon. As co-leader of the Unification Church, she was a pivotal figure in spreading their shared vision of a world unified by love and peace. Affectionately known as the 'True Mother', she embodied the ideal of nurturing and unconditional love in their teachings. After Moon's passing in 2012, Hak Ja Han Moon assumed sole leadership of the Unification Church. In this role, she has tirelessly carried forward their mission, upholding the church's emphasis on peace, interfaith dialogue, and strong, loving families. Under her guidance, the church has continued to flourish, spreading its message of unity and love to people around the globe.

Additional Sun Myung Moon Quotes
“Many religions have the concept of a Messiah or Lord of the Second Advent. This tells us that there is a single common purpose for the establishment of religion. That single purpose is world peace and unity. Why should this be so? It is because there is one owner. The idea of God, the absolute being, is one, not two. Then what is the one thought behind the ideology of oneness? It is to make the world into one. It is to realize a world of peace, a united world. God’s Will is for brotherly and sisterly love to harmonize the world as a single family with love at its center, to realize a realm of oneness.”

“When men and women open the door to a new world, feeling heavenly emotions and venturing forth, it will be the time for the beginning of the kingdom of heaven that we have longed for. It is only then that the Last Days of heaven and earth will come, and that humanity’s purpose, desire, and hope will take root. In that day, the era of people making self-centered, arrogant claims will pass away. It will be a time when no one will say, “I am the best.” From that time on, we will live in a world of cooperation; that is, a world of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values.”
