Virtue Is

Listen then to your Mother and learn moderation! For moderation is the mother of all virtues for everything heavenly and earthly.

The command ‘come against your will’ is for the blind follower of religion. ‘Come willingly’ is for the sincere.

To follow the Way and hold to what is true is good. When the Will is in conformity with the Way, that is greatness.

When love is only “a virtue” among many, man forgets that “God is love” and becomes incapable of that all-embracing love by which we secretly begin to know God as our Creator and Redeemer…”

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so when life fades as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.

The virtues we acquire by first having actually practiced them, just as we do the arts.

It is my belief that if prayer, meditation and contemplation… are combined in daily practice, the effect on the practitioner’s mind and heart will be all the greater.
